COURSE HISTORY

The Race For The Birthplace 6 Miles was created to replace the Roan Mountain 10K race @ Roan Mountain State Park. One of the major features of the race is that the runners will run across the Nolichucky River and a very scenic course. Also, David Crockett came to the race, and he gave out the awards. The race is owned and managed by the State of Franklin Track Club, SFTC. The address to the park is 1245 Davy Crockett Park Road Limestone, TN 37681-5825.

POST RACE

The Race for the Birthplace race is going to be 4 miles not 6 miles, because the bridge is still out.  The Pioneer Run will remain 5 miles and the course will remain the same. Both races will not have age group awards, but medals will be given to each runner as they cross the finish line. However, the overall first male & female will receive a trophy. Water/drinks will be provided @ the finish line.
